Jordan Lee is transferring to South Carolina women’s basketball after two seasons at Texas.
This is the first transfer portal addition for coach Dawn Staley since the season ended.
Lee, a 6-foot guard, averaged 13.2 points, 2.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game for the Longhorns. She visited Columbia on April 14, along with 2026 recruit Olivyah Edwards.
Texas and South Carolina have played seven times in the last two seasons. The Gamecocks are 4-3 since 2024-25 but went 1-2 this season, including a loss in the SEC Tournament championship game. Lee averaged 8.7 points against the Gamecocks.
This move gives Staley even more size in her backcourt, with two taller, athletic guards who can shoot the ball both inside and outside.
Not only does Lee bring undeniable skill but is quite familiar with success in the SEC and is no stranger to the fast-pace, physical offense and defense necessary to thrive in the conference.
