On the occasion, AKP Imam Soepardi presented materials on the dangers of drug abuse, psychotropic substances, and other addictive substances, NAPZA, current social phenomena in society, and emphasized the importance of preventing bullying and juvenile delinquency in the school environment.
The Jatiroto Police Chief said that adolescence is a crucial phase in character formation and therefore requires guidance from various parties, including family, school, and the police.
According to him, technological developments and social media bring many benefits, but also present new challenges for the younger generation. Therefore, students must have the ability to filter information and avoid various forms of negative behavior that can ruin their future.
_”Through this MPLS activity, we want to give students an understanding that their future is determined by the choices they make starting now. Avoid NAPZA abuse, stay away from peer groups that lead to juvenile delinquency, and build a culture of mutual respect so that bullying does not occur in the school environment,”_ said AKP Imam Soepardi.
He explained that bullying should not be considered a joke or something normal. Bullying can cause serious psychological effects on victims, and even impact academic performance and students’ mental development.
Therefore, he encouraged all students to create a learning environment that is safe, comfortable, and respectful of differences.
_”Every student has the right to learn safely without fear. Never intimidate, insult, or commit violence against friends. Instead, be students who can respect one another and have the courage to report it if they witness acts of bullying,”_ he said.
In addition, AKP Imam Soepardi also reminded students not to be easily influenced by invitations that lead to drug abuse or other illegal acts. He said that high curiosity at a teenage age is often exploited by irresponsible parties.
He emphasized the importance of choosing a positive social environment and spending free time on productive activities, whether in academics, sports, arts, or school organizations.
_”Achievements come from discipline and a good environment. Do not let a future that has been well prepared be destroyed by choosing the wrong friends. Be a generation with integrity, discipline, and one that can make your family and school proud,”_ he said.
The Police Chief added that the presence of the National Police in MPLS activities is part of preventive efforts to build legal awareness from an early age and to strengthen synergy between the police and the education sector.
According to him, student development must be carried out continuously so that they are equipped to face increasingly complex social challenges.
_”We hope that the material delivered today does not stop as mere knowledge, but is truly applied in daily life. Students are future leaders of the nation. Therefore, they must grow into disciplined, responsible individuals who uphold national values and stay away from all forms of legal violations,”_ AKP Imam Soepardi concluded.
