I remember the first time I saw Max Clark play. I was coaching our 2022s in Kansas City, and he was a year younger. You couldn’t miss him. Big shoulders, ran like a deer, playing center field with the long blonde hair. I asked who he was and someone said, “That’s Max Clark. Number one player in his class.”

Yeah… that checked out. But what stood out beyond the baseball talent was how comfortable he was being himself. He understood personal branding, treated people the right way, and wasn’t afraid to stick up for other players. It’s cool seeing where his career has gone because people forget how long some of the best baseball players have been really, really good.
