Arlington’s 360 Volleyball Club, founded by Clarence Nevels, made history at the USA Girls Junior National Championships in Indianapolis — becoming the first all-African American team ever to qualify for the Girls 17 National Division. The team earned their bid with a 28-14 record, often having to win four games just to enter qualifying tournaments through the open division. On the national stage, they weren’t just competitors — they were pioneers.
