Aaron Rodgers said on Wednesday that the 2026 season will be his last in the NFL.

Rodgers, 42, spoke with reporters for the first time since agreeing to a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers over the weekend. Asked if 2026 would be his last year, Rodgers answered immediately: “Yes.”

2026 will be the quarterback’s 22nd NFL season, and second with the Steelers. His return reunited him with head coach Mike McCarthy, who had previously been his head coach with the Green Bay Packers.
