The Angels announced Friday that general manager Perry Minasian has been relieved of his duties, and John Mozeliak has been appointed as Baseball Operations Consultant and interim general manager.
“Perry has been a valued leader who worked tirelessly over the last six years to strengthen our baseball operations department,” club president Molly Jolly said in a team statement. “I am grateful for his dedication, insight and many contributions to our organization.”
Minasian was hired as the organization’s 13th general manager on Nov. 12, 2020. Mozeliak joins the Angels after spending 30 years in the Cardinals organization, including 18 seasons leading baseball operations.
